Is autumn the worst season of the four?

Fall is the time we snowboarders (and skiers) dread the most. The storms roll in and bring grey skies and promise of powder turns. Yet its still a few degrees too warm to create those crystallized water molecules we covet so much. So we sit and we wait. We watch all the new shred films, constantly check eight different weather websites and say, "I can't wait to ride!" at least seven times a day. We do our snow dances and burn snowboards to take our minds off the cravings. And then it happens, you wake up one morning and the mountain tops are dusted with the white gold. It's so close, yet so far away...will it ever happen? I guess we just have to let fall become winter.
